Pasar Besar Kedai Payang



‘Pasar Pusat’ or known as ‘Pasar Payang’ is one of the famous tourist destinations in Kuala Terengganu. Its offer variety types of traditional craft which are batik, silk, songket, brocade and metal products as well as the fresh vegetables those are sold with the reasonable prices.

  From this market, tourist can know the culture that usually the local people do and how they bargain the price to get the lower prices. For the tips, tourist is advised to try the special food that is offered at this place which is ‘Keropok lekor’ and believe me that you will addict with it because it's so delicious and it is the one of food that famous in Kuala Terengganu. Before I forget, how the tourist can get into this market? It can either by taxi or walking because this market is situated at the center of  Kuala Terengganu and it can make ease for the tourist to get there.


 

 

Islamic Civilization Park or 'Taman Tamadun Islam (TTI)
Islamic Civilization Park is an interactive adventure Islamic monument in the world. This park is located on the island of Wan Man, Kuala Terengganu. Did you know that ‘Crystal mosque’ is the icon of the Islamic Civilization Park as well as the new landmark for Kuala Terengganu. This mosque was officially opened by His Majesty, Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin on February 8, 2008 It provides with educational and informative entertainment about the world Islamic destination.  As you go to this park, the main attraction that you can see is the National Mosque (Malaysia), the Dome of the Rock (Palestine), ‘Masjidil Haram’ (Saudi Arabia), Al-Hambra Citadel (Spain) as well as Taj Mahal (India). Not just that, it also has Mimbar Kalyan (Uzbekistan), Makam Abu Nasr (Afghanistan), Mimbar Berputar Samarra (Iraq), Masjid Mohd Ali (Kaherah), Masjid Besar Qairawan (Tunisia), Masjid Besar Agadez (Nigeria), Aleppo Citadel (Syria), Masjid Kul Syarif (Russia) as well as Mimbar Xian, China.

Lastly, Islamic Civilization Park is divided into two zones which is the Islamic Civilization Park Complex and the Public Zone.

For the transportation, the tourist can use either public transportation, taxi nor boat miners. The tourist can use the boat jetty miners from ‘jeti Shahbandar’ to ‘jeti Tok Paloh’.
 
 
Chinatown

The buildings have been declared a heritage site by the United Nation’s UNESCO under its World Monument Watch Program to ensure beautification and preservation of this Pre-colonial heritage significance.

 You must visit the Kg. China when you are in Kuala Terengganu and try spending time walking along the streets with your family and friends, feel the atmosphere, the distant chatter that fills the air with the pungent smell of spices and appreciates the colorful and eclectic architecture with each motif articulates the house owner’s hopes for longevity, abundance, good luck and offspring.
